Well it’s that time of year yet again, the super fit mad men take to the roads, travelling all over France’s beautiful country side.
We know there are so many of you in Australia that stay up all night and watch stage by stage, you don’t need to be crazy about cycling to enjoy the show that awaits us all each year. The strength, the power, the sheer mental determination of each man is something l will never possess on a bike – I’m tired after 50km on the flat road to Annecy, although l can’t say the same about Hugh (he is one of the possessed).
The other great part that goes hand in hand with watching the Tour du France in Australia, is “Taste the tour” with the charming and wonderful French chef, Gabriel Gate. We have had the pleasure of hosting Gabriel and Peter Warren (the producer) at Chalet Savoie Faire on numerous occasions, although this year we did a spot of filming and we thought you may want to watch the episode. We are featured on episode 17 which airs on the 19th July, keep in mind that the show starts earlier this year and the broadcast starts at 8.30pm on SBS1.
