A range of courses which introduce you to this remarkable region of Savoie – not just the different culinary styles but also the local culture, history and people that have forged this cuisine. It’s a beautiful place to learn: cosy, warm, spacious with a breathtaking views across the French Alps.

Relaxed, hands-on learning, where you will build your understanding and knowledge of local food styles and learn how to confidently present your cuisine.

We eat what we cook, so the day is structured to produce a light snack for lunch and a beautiful evening meal that we will share together in the dining room. All the food is fresh and purchased locally, come and play in paradise its all about food and having fun.

  • Weekly courses run from Monday to Friday from the 1st January 2019.

SAVOYARD SEASONAL MENU

Learning about the local cheeses and how they are made. Creating a menu around local and fresh produce – Of course this menu will change depending on what time of year you join us. A few examples of what we do in a half day – Tartiflette, Goat’s cheese salad drizzled with local honey, a selection of salads and mixed dressings, Fondue Savoyard (with three local cheeses), polenta with creamy,wild mushrooms, Tarte aux Myrtle and after dinner treats.  All meals are vegetarian and accompanied with local wines.

Teaching you the art of quick and effective entertaining at a drop of a hat. We will create 3 menu plans that will set you up for your next dinner party, including a broad range of attractive delights that look amazing and are easy to prepare at home.

Gluten Free

The world is changing and so are the dietary needs of many people. Gluten free cooking does not have to be difficult, we learn about substituting ingredients, keeping it delicious and well balanced for your good health. The recipes are easy to follow with the hands on instruction and you won’t find it difficult to replicate them back in your own kitchen space.

VEGETARIAN COURSE

Picking your own vegetables from the garden or the local market, appreciating the nutritional value of vegetables combined with grains and pulses .Learning about what’s in season, cooking with visual colour whilst enjoying step-by-step hands-on fun using organic produce. Sauces for all occassions, baking, grilling, steaming, different options for everyday meals. Fresh, light and tasty and loved by all, even those meat lovers will e blown away.

ALPINE TOUR

The Savoie region is rich in seasonal tradition, so l make my plans around your month of arrival. There are so many things to do, taste, see, cook and experience whilst you are on holidays, so l have created a little 5 day plan  that will entice all. l am your guide, making sure you get the most out of the region, visiting local heritage sites, walking, cooking, shopping and relaxing in natural thermal springs.

The plan of action is of course flexible and can be build around what interests you. Collection at the airport – Geneva or Lyon – 5 nights – 6 days – full  board – a day in Annecy, exploring the mini Venice of the French Alps – 2 x half days cooking (including lunch) – a trip to Albertville to visit Conflans a medieval village and shop the local antique market – a lunch stop at a local restaurant, followed by a relaxing time in the natural thermal springs – a forest walk around the villages – a picnic with spectacular views – luxury accommodation – laughs and lot a fun. Total cost 1950€ pp.
