Free flowing creativity

Take some time out and restore your flow in this heavenly location.

Allowing yourself to feel in harmony with your beautiful surroundings is a sure-fire way to tune in to your creative energy and unleash your imagination.

So whether it’s gazing at the endless peaks or the roaring log fire, absorbing the silence, or tuning in to the sounds of nature you’ll find the inspiration comes flooding back to you whilst staying with us here in the French Alps.

We host retreats for photographers, painters, cooks, craftspeople, textiles artists, sculptors… You name it, we’ll inspire it!

Unplug and unwind

“Turn off the WiFi please!”

It’s not something all our guests want (our place is rather instagram-able!) but for those who brave a ‘digital detox’ during their stay, we notice that they REALLY enter full relaxation mode and start to refocus on what’s important.

We have all you need to recharge your batteries here in the mountains – comfy beds, baths, squishy sofas, books, flowers, a log fireplace, music, great food and wine… And a whole lot of nature!

We can also organise yoga sessions, massage, beauty therapy and wellness/spa visits, it’s up to you!

Come and join us, our mission is to help you unwind.

Active retreats: on two wheels or two feet

Not interested in sitting still? Well, Hugh’s with you on that one! It’s time to take to the hills and find a little adventure…

Can we entice you to take in the views? From the very top of that mountain over there? Or perhaps we can tempt you to get on your road bike and head up and over a one of the challenging mountain passes nearby? Or how about we splash through some mud on a forested mountain bike trail?

All manner of biking, running and hiking tastes can be catered for here!

If you come and visit us in winter, then Naves is a very popular destination for cross country skiing. There are also some epic ski touring routes to try out, with some awesome backcountry skiing to be had. Or if you prefer to use the lifts then we’re just a short drive to some of the very best ski resorts in Europe: Meribel, Courchevel, Val Thorens, Valmorel, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val d’Isere…

Whatever your sport, you’re sure to work up an appetite, but don’t worry – Nikki’s menus will re-energise you ready for tomorrow’s adventure!

A place to truly relax

The views, the landscape, the quiet, the house itself and the whole experience were amazing, and a world away from everything else. What a beautiful place and beautiful people to escape the world and relax. Then we spent the morning in the kitchen with Nikki and made an amazing feast for lunch. An absolute highlight of our trip.

Expect a warm welcome from your hosts Nikki and Hugh, whose hands-on approach, boundless energy and creative culinary talents will ensure that guests feel well and truly pampered during their stay.

Nikki left Australia over 30 years ago to travel the globe, finally settling in France and managing alpine properties for a large ski holiday company.

Hugh is an ex-professional cyclist, who is often to be spotted whizzing up the local mountain roads when he doesn’t have his toolkit in his hand!

Chalet Savoie Faire has been a true labour of love for the couple, who have poured heart and soul into making it a peaceful, authentic and relaxing place to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of ‘the real world’!

Other activities for your guests

Depending on the season, we can help to organise other activities for your guests that will complement your retreat. How about hiking through the mountains, road cycling or mountain biking? In the winter, many of our guests enjoy cross country skiing, ski touring, or snow-shoe tours. For more reflective or creative sessions, how about massage, reflexology, painting or photography…
