Restoring Chalet Savoie Faire has been a labour of love for Nikki and Hugh, though not without it’s challenges. Little more than walls and a rickety roof, Hugh has slowly transformed the building, using much of the original wood and stonework and has incorporated many traditional Savoyarde designs. (He is now looking forward to a well-earned rest- back on his bike for more mountain training).

The main house provides accommodation for up to 8 people, with a beautiful open-plan living area, vaulted dining hall and walled terrace with views across the valley. Luxury bathrooms with gorgeous toiletries, flat screen televisions in every room and a cosy open fireplace make it a perfect retreat after a hard day in the saddle or on the skis. This property was build with many aspects in mind, It had to be a place to relax, with cycling, walking and skiing on the doorstep and most importantly a place everyone can enjoy.

In summer it’s is a place that not only cares for the cyclists and caters to all their needs but the partner’s can also enjoy the space with cooking classes, hiking, reading out on the terrace or a spa day in the valley with natural thermal waters. In winter the open fire becomes your best friend with a good book and glass of wine in hand, 35km of cross country tracks are on the doorstep. The property is equipped with everything you need to make it your home away from home – a kitchen with oven, gas burners, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, music, movies, comfy sofas and beds you wont want to get out of.
